With the number of people who attend First Free each Sunday, you may wonder, "Where do I fit in, and how can I get to know these people?" At First Free, we want each person to feel connected and a part of the church family. We want everyone to experience a transformed life in Jesus Christ. One of the best ways for this to happen? Get involved in a Life Group!

Purpose
The Life Group Ministry brings groups of people just like you together to:
- Encourage
- Pray
- Study the Bible
- Serve together

Why? To change our world for Christ!

Process
More than 650 adults in 75 Life Groups are guided by qualified leaders, who serve as "facilitators" for their groups. Each group determines when and where to meet and how to serve others in the church and community. Now and then, Life Groups come together for joint activities to pursue the vision statement of our church: to become a biblically functioning community exhibiting the glory of God on earth.

Vision
To become a Christ-like community through our groups, resulting in a heart and desire to serve others and be an agent for change in our world. To encourage valuable, healthy relationships and mentor one another spiritually on the journey to being more like Christ! If this is a vision that resonates with who you are, who you want to become and something bigger that you would like to be a part of, then begin to pray now about your involvement in a small group. We would love to have you join us in the life-giving power of Christian community.

If you are interested in joining a Life Group and have never been in a Life Group, or are inbetween Life Groups, we are starting an “all-ages” Monday night Life Group. This group will be studying The Truth Project (led by Linda Slykhuis). Our first meeting will be on Monday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. in room ED104. If you would like to join this group, please call  Tom Schindler at (402) 483-7635 or e-mail tschindler@firstfreelincoln.org. We will require a minimum of 10 people in order to begin. This study will finish on May 17. At the end of this series, we will seek to begin several new Life Groups based upon age and “season of life” similarities.
